Graffham Down, West Sussex:First Time Using The Phoxx 1V2 Tent Camp
Early September 2024
This was the first camp on the South Downs Way on my walk from Amberley to Winchester.
This great little spot and I set up on the grass track behind a bush where I cooked a hot meal on a wet and rainy evening. I wasn’t disturbed and heard no one apart from cattle in an adjacent field.
Getting there:
It’s roughly 10 miles/16 km from Amberley train station and just over 1 mile / 1.6 km from Graffham village. It looks like you can park in the village of Graffham but the closest car park according to Google maps is Cocking Hill car park 3 miles / 4.8 km away.
Heads up:
Nothing really to report. There are plenty of quiet places to camp around this area from the many flat grassy and wooded areas.
