Misungsan - A Mountain I Keep Returning ToI’ve returned to a lot of places over the years, but Misungsan is different. I first found it by chance more than 20 years ago, and every visit back to this part of South Korea includes another climb.

Chalk Hill Cargving, Wiltshire: Nortent Skjul Bivvi Camp
Mid-September 2025
I headed out to check out this wonderful chalk hill carving in Wilshire, and to find a spot to camp close by.
The chalk carving was on the side of a large, open hill with plenty of large grass areas, but I ended up camping in a not-so-ideal spot nearby.
After the chalk carving, I tried to find the local trig point to bag. But…

Hilltop Chalk Carving, Dorset: Nortent Skjul Bivvi Camp
Mid September 2025
This was an awesome spot – my camp was pretty much above the chalk carving.
I was lucky enough to have a beautiful evening, an even better sunrise and managed to bag the local trig point.
From the top, the view down towards coast, with the town and its harbour all lit up was fantastic. I was also fortunate…
