A lesser Known Hillfort, Dorset: Phoxx 1V2 Tent Camp

A Common In Surrey: OEX Phoxx 1V2 Camp
Late March 2025
I found Common and its neighbouring nature reserve, on Google Maps and thought they looked like promising spots.
It’s surrounded by villages and roads, all offering free on-road parking. It’s also home to a hill trig point. These parking spots provide easy and direct access to the common.

A Forest Camp, Dorset | Phoxx 1V2 Tent Camp
Early January 2025
Forest plantations are ideal spots for hammock camping thanks to plenty of perfectly spaced trees. In my experience, commercial tree plantations are a little more tricky for tent camping because the uneven, debris-covered ground often presents a challenge to find a suitable spot.

This place rocks!
Bizarre doesn’t do this place justice. A 400 tonne rock, perched on a mound in the middle of a heathland.
The views out to sea and the silhouette of the Rock against the sky was epic.

Jurassic Coast, Dorset: Phoxx 1V2 Camp

I had planned to reach this spot before dark and continue along the coast a bit further to find a spot away from the coast guard building.
That all changed when I got caught out by the dark and the mist. So, for obvious safety reasons, I settled where I settled.
