A Cold Night In Hampshire | Phoxx 1v2 Tent Camp

I found this beautiful spot under an almost full moon. I had a woodland behind me and an open heathland in front of me and a view of the setting sun.
Temperatures dropped well below freezing but the trade off was a clear sky, wonderful feeling and view of that almost full moon.

A Dorset Heathland | Phoxx 1v2 Tent Wild Camp
Mid-autumn 2026
It had been a long time since my last visit to this area. I knew that the parts I was familiar with contained a few clusters of trees, plenty of boggy areas and low-level heathland. I really thought the bivvi would be better for this camp because of its low profile in such an open area.

A Patch of Forest in Hampshire | OEX Phoxx 1V2 Tent Camp

Just an update of an older camp that was accidentally deleted.
This was my first visit to this area of forest. It was quiet area after dark but quite busy with dog walkers in the morning.

A Plantation Forest, Dorset | Nortent Skjul Bivvi Camp
Early-autumn 2026
I had a wonderful afternoon and night in an awesome spot among the trees. The forest isn’t far from where I live, so after work I headed out for a wander through the forest to a hillfort. I then stopped and found a spot to camp on the return journey.
