      Early October 2022

      A spur-of-the-moment camp with @CoopzOutdoors

We had no plans other than to set out, find a good camping spot and cook some food on a soon-to-be chilly night.

We left Brockenhurst and wandered aimlessly for a bit until we found what we were looking for.

The spot we settled on was perfect and it had everything we needed. It was away from any path, it had a large flat grassy area to sleep on and a beautiful stream running alongside..

What I didn’t expect was the temperature to dip below freezing in the forest in early October. We woke up to a frost on the ground and on the tent and bivi.

@CoopzOutdoors made a video about our camp and it’s available to watch on Youtube. Here’s the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXsLnErepOo

      Coordinates:

      50°49’38.7″N 1°37’47.8″W

      Getting there:

We parked the car in Brockenhurst which is about roughly 1.7 miles / 2.7 km away.

There are plenty of car parks around this area and the forest. Completely up to you whether you want to risk leaving your vehicle overnight in one.

There are also plenty of roads to walk along and paths that lead in all directions across the forest.

      Heads up:

The only thing to report was that we could hear loud music coming from Rhinefield House into the night.
