Disused Bird Hide, Dutch Hooped Bivvi Camp, Wareham, Poole Harbour, Dorset.
End of October 2022.
I came across this rundown bird hide a long time ago and promised to return.
So tonight was the night. A rather blustery, wet and windy late October evening.
I had a litter pick around the hide and found a plastic bottle, a drinks’ can and some pallet strapping.
I stayed dry in the bird hide, and it was a wise, and more comfortable move to stay here.
Getting there:
I travelled by train to Wareham and walked from there. Wareham is a great spot to start from, and surrounded by heathland, forests and plenty of camping spots in every direction.
