Wytch Farm Dorset
Mid June 2022
Stayed overnight in this forest near Wytch Farm oil fields. Found these sand pits on Google map and decided it would make a cool place to camp.
There are plenty of these sand pits around this area. They are flat, soft and ideal to camp in as they are hidden and lower than the surrounding ferns. It was raining so I put up the basha. I could hear the oil pumps during the night and loud music coming from somewhere nearby.

Getting there:
Wareham is 5.5 miles / 8.5 km away. Plenty of roads around the area but I do not know of any good parking spots nearby.
Heads up:
Saw no one all evening or in the morning when I left. Plenty of midges out and I got a fair few bites.
