Cheddar Gorge, Somerset: Nortent Skjul bivvi Camp

    Late April 2026

What a cool place Cheddar Gorge is. I’ve driven through here a few times over the last year and always promised myself I’d come back properly to explore it and camp.

Here is the YouTube link to the kit video of everything I took, including why I went with the Nortent Skjul setup:

A Quiet Evening in a Hampshire Forest (Phoxx 1V2 Camp)

    End of March 2026

My plan was to bag three or four trig points, then find a spot to camp using the Phoxx 1V2 tent.

Here’s a look at everything I’m taking on tonight’s Hampshire forest camp on YouTube: Tonight’s Kit For A Wild Camp

Looking at the images on Google Maps before I visited, I knew…

Forest Hammock Camp, Dorset | DD Hammock Camp

    Early May 2025

I headed to an area that looked like it had plenty of potential hammock camping spots for my first one of the year.

I spent the afternoon wandering, and there was so much to see in the area. I visited the Hell Stone Dolmen while on the way. It’s definitely worth a visit. It’s not particularly hard to find, but it is…

    • I knew there was a forest nearby, with an east facing edge.

So I took the #ddhammock , and set it up perfectly, for the beautiful dawn sky
