    A Quiet Evening in the New Forest (Phoxx 1V2 Camp)

    End of March 2026

    My plan was to bag three or four trig points, then find a spot to camp using the Phoxx 1V2 tent.

    I was north of the A31 this time, which is a new area for me, as all my previous wanders and camps have been south of it.

    Hambledon Hill, Child Okeford, Dorset: Nortent Skjul Bivvi Camp

    A peaceful, albeit a windy night on Hambledon Hill.

    This huge Iron Age hillfort in Dorset is one of the most impressive I’ve camped on, with stunning views in all directions. The sunset didn’t disappoint.
