Studland peninsula, Dorset.
10th July 2022.
I just managed to squeeze in a solo bivi camp just before the extremely busy summer holiday period.
Coordinates:
50°39’47.1″N 1°58’08.6″W
Getting there:
I got the train to Wareham and walked 9.3 miles / 14.9 km from there. I left via the Sandbank’s ferry.
Heads up:
I heard that in the summer months, the National Trust patrol the beaches on both sides of the peninsula and move anyone camping on.
I set up late and saw a few late evening dog walkers. Gets boggy in the winter and busy in the summer. The place is covered in heathland and very dry in summer and has fire risk warning during this time.
I wasn’t disturbed and it was a beautiful camp.
